Minerals Dolomites (CaMg (CO3) 2)

I introduce my area, as a sign of the wealth of Indonesia. Limestone mountain that stretches to the South of Java has deposits of various minerals. Minerals-minerals are most dominant are the Dolomites (CaMg (CO3) 2). Dolomite is referred to as dolosit by the residents of Malang especially the citizens of Malang South.

Dolomites (CaMg (CO3) 2) including the mineral carbonates. According to Doddy Loyal Graha (1987: 237) that the Dolomites have a hexagonal crystal system;
the perfect {1011};
hardness of 3.5-4,
the weight of 2,85,
glass glassy (vitreous),
the color of the nodes or white to creamy white,
scratch. drain.
These minerals occur in nature as a layer batugamping magnesium, as mineral aisle in veins hidrothermal.

The spread of the Dolomites in Indonesia found at
  • Kejae (the central part of Sumatra);
  • Pamotan,
  • Mt. Sekapuk,
  • Mt. Kaklak,
  • Gresik,
  • Tuban,
  • Bancak Sedayu,
  • Madura (province of East Java) and
  • Tonasa (South Sulawesi).

Utilization of dolomite in everyday life as a refractory, paper industry, fertilizer, building, brick adhesive bangan, adhesives, coatings, glass-making, metallurgical flux as chemicals for the pharmaceutical industry, rubber, paint, printing ink, and pasta.
